Update on Ella – A Heartfelt Goodbye

Sadly, we’ve had to say goodbye to darling Ella, who had been a long-term foster for the past year.

At 15 years old, Ella had already endured deep loss—her original owner had passed away, leaving her traumatised and withdrawn. We tried our best to help her, hoping we could tame her enough to appreciate the comfort, warmth, and kindness we offered. Despite our efforts, Ella never allowed us to stroke her in all that time.

We knew she was delicate, living with kidney disease, but she found happiness in playing with toys when alone. An animal communicator helped us understand her story—Ella had been with her owner when they passed away. She had hidden under the bed as doctors, paramedics, and police arrived, leaving her frightened of too many boots around her. She had made up her mind to never get close to a human again, fearing they would leave her once more.

We couldn’t change things in time for her, but now, at last, she will be reunited with her beloved owner at the Rainbow Bridge.

Run free, sweet Ella.

Meet Ella – A Special Cat in Need of a Quiet, Loving Home

Ella has had a difficult past, arriving in foster care over a year ago in poor health and deeply traumatised after the loss of her previous owner.

Thanks to time, patience, and care, she has made progress, becoming a little friendlier, but she is unlikely to be a lap cat. Now at 14 years old, Ella deserves a loving, experienced owner who understands her needs and can offer her a peaceful, stable home. She would be best suited to an only-cat household.
