We’re absolutely delighted to share that we’ve just received £1,875.75 from our most recent Gift Aid claim. At a time when every penny truly counts, this extra support is incredibly welcome and will go directly towards helping the cats in our care.
But what exactly is Gift Aid, and how does it work?
What Is Gift Aid?
Gift Aid is a UK government scheme that allows registered charities like ours to claim an extra 25p for every £1 donated by UK taxpayers. This additional support comes at no extra cost to you, as it’s essentially a tax refund on your donation.
So when you donate £10, we can claim an additional £2.50 from HMRC—turning your £10 gift into £12.50, just like that.
How It Helps Feline Network
At Feline Network, Gift Aid applies to several types of donations:
We compile this data every six months and submit a claim to HMRC. Once processed, we receive a payment that helps us cover essential costs such as food, vet bills, and rescue work.
How You Can Join
There are just two simple conditions:
When you bring in donations to the shop, our team will ask if you’re a Gift Aider. If you’re not, you can fill in a quick form on the spot. You can also choose to receive updates on how much your items raise.
For cat adoptions, there’s a Gift Aid option included in the adoption paperwork. And if you’re donating money—either as a one-off or regularly—you can request a Gift Aid form from us at any time.
Your Details Are Safe
We take your privacy seriously. Your information will only be used for Gift Aid and Feline Network purposes, and will never be shared with third parties. If your tax status changes, just let us know and we’ll update our records.
Thank You
Whether you donate goods, money, or your time, you are helping to change lives. And if you’re a Gift Aider—thank you for going the extra mile. That additional 25% really does make a huge difference.
If you’d like to become a Gift Aider, pop into the shop or message us today.
Together, we can stretch every pound a little further—for the cats who need us most.
