First, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated to support Poppy on her recovery journey. It’s going to be a long road, and every single penny truly helps us get this lovely girl strong and back to her former self.
Poppy is eating well, and she’s incredibly affectionate and chatty, which is wonderful to see. However, we do still have some ongoing concerns. While she is using the litter tray, she’s also been toileting on the floor, chairs, and table – and then sitting in it, poor love. We spent time gently cleaning her fur this afternoon, taking care not to irritate her delicate skin. As it stands, every horizontal surface is now lined with puppy pads to help keep her comfortable.
We’re not convinced she’s gaining weight as she should, so we’re hoping to get her into the vet this week for a check-up and further advice.
We’ll continue to keep you updated on her progress.
